A distressed animal in one exam room is audible in the next, and so is the conversation. Owners hearing a difficult consultation next door, or a dog in distress while their own pet is examined, is a real experience problem — and acoustic separation between exam rooms is cheap at design and unfixable afterwards.

Take exam room partitions to the deck. Stopping at the ceiling grid leaves the plenum open and every conversation and every distressed animal travels between rooms, which is the single most common acoustic complaint in a veterinary buildout.
